In the second quarter of 2025, road freight transport in Cyprus increased by 0.5% in total weight and 3.6% for freight from and to Cyprus, compared to the same period in 2024.
The Statistical Service announced the latest figures for road freight transport in Cyprus for the second quarter of 2025.
During April – June 2025, the total weight of goods transported by road in Cyprus increased by 0.5% compared to the same period in 2024. The weight of freight transported from and to Cyprus increased by 3.6%.
For the period January – June 2025, the total weight of goods transported increased by 0.3%, while freight from and to Cyprus increased by 5.0% compared to the same period in 2024.
Data is collected from vehicles registered in Cyprus with load capacity over 3 tonnes, covering national and international carriage of goods. The data is transmitted to Eurostat according to EU Regulation No 70/2012.
