Tourism revenue increased by 10.1% in September 2025

Tourism revenue reached €499.9 million in September 2025, a 10.1% increase year-on-year. From January to September 2025, revenue totaled €2.972.8 million, up 15.4% compared to the same period in 2024.

According to the Passengers Survey conducted by the Statistical Service, revenue from tourism in September 2025 was €499.9 million, representing a 10.1% increase compared to €454.1 million in September 2024.

For the period of January–September 2025, tourism revenue is estimated at €2,972.8 million, up 15.4% from €2,575.9 million in the same period of 2024.

Average expenditure per person decreased by 1.7%, from €891.29 in September 2024 to €876.01 in September 2025.

Tourists from the United Kingdom, the largest market with 31.4% of visitors, spent an average of €115.12 per day. Tourists from Israel, the second largest market with 14.0%, spent €158.14 per day. Tourists from Poland, the third largest market with 7.9%, spent €102.64 per day.

Data is collected through personal interviews at Larnaka and Pafos airports and covers all persons in the government-controlled area of Cyprus. It excludes travelers arriving and departing illegally via ports and airports in the occupied area of Cyprus.
