The Association of Accredited Laboratories of Cyprus – SDIEK (Member of OEB) held its annual ordinary General Assembly on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at the offices of OEB, with the participation of many members.
During the assembly, actions undertaken by the association and the main sector challenges were presented. Emphasis was placed on maintaining and upgrading the quality of laboratory services, which are essential for patient safety, result reliability, and the proper functioning of the health system.
Members discussed the Health Insurance Organization’s proposals for the reimbursement framework, highlighting the need for a system that reflects technical requirements, high-quality standards of accredited laboratories, and actual costs.
