Starting January 1, 2026, the Department of the Registrar of Companies and Intellectual Property will no longer accept personal cheques. Payments will be accepted only by banker’s draft, card, or cash up to €10,000.
Following the announcement dated November 26, 2025, the Department of the Registrar of Companies and Intellectual Property will accept payments at its counters only by the following methods:
It is clarified that bank transfers will not be accepted, regardless of amount, for account holders at the Department.
The Department will continue to accept bank transfers as previously.
This change takes effect on January 1, 2026.
