Industrial production index increased by 8.5% in November 2025

The Industrial Production Index for November 2025 reached 111.2 units (base 2021=100), recording an increase of 8.5% compared to November 2024. For the period January–November 2025, the index increased by 3.7% compared to the same period of the previous year.

The manufacturing sector registered a 9.6% increase compared to November 2024. Increases were also observed in mining and quarrying (+32.5%) and water supply and materials recovery (+4.7%). A decrease was recorded in the electricity supply sector (-0.9%).

Within manufacturing, the most significant positive changes compared to November 2024 were in the manufacturing of other non-metallic mineral products (+83.6%), furniture, other manufacturing, and machinery repair (+10.3%), wood and cork products (+9.3%), and basic metals (+8.9%). Negative changes were observed in textiles, apparel, leather products (-1.2%) and paper products and printing (-1.2%).

For January–November 2025, the most significant increases compared to the previous year were in other non-metallic mineral products (+13.3%), basic metals (+8.7%), wood and cork products (+8.6%), mining and quarrying (+7.3%), and water collection, treatment, and supply (+7.0%). The largest decreases were in paper products and printing (-10.3%), textiles, apparel, leather products (-5.4%), and electricity supply (-1.8%).

The index is compiled based on data collected from enterprises with a production value of at least 2 million Euros or 20 or more employees, with data collected via telephone or email. The index uses 2021 as the base year, with the average of the twelve months set at 100. The index reflects the monthly changes in production relative to the 2021 average.
