The Price Index of Construction Materials for January 2026 reached 118.89 units, with a 1.09% increase compared to the previous year. Main categories showed increases, except metallic products which decreased.
The Price Index of Construction Materials for January 2026 reached 118.89 units (base year 2021=100). It increased by 0.12% compared to December 2025 and by 1.09% compared to January 2025.
Major commodity categories recorded the following changes compared to the previous year: minerals (+2.91%), electromechanical products (+2.55%), products of wood, insulation materials, chemicals, and plastics (+1.19%), and mineral products (+0.97%). Metallic products decreased by 0.49%.
The index is based on prices collected monthly from a sample of products and suppliers, excluding VAT, with data collected via telephone or email. The indices are relative to the average prices in 2021, with the base index set at 100.
