The Labour Force Survey (LFS) for the fourth quarter of 2025 indicates that the total labour force was 531,062 persons, representing 65.2% of the population. The unemployment rate was 4.0%, with 21,289 unemployed persons. The employment rate was 62.6%, with 509,773 employed persons.
Compared to the same quarter of 2024, the labour force increased from 518,053 persons, and the unemployment rate decreased from 4.5%. The employment rate increased from 61.4% to 62.6%.
In the age group 20–64, the employment rate was 81.7%, with males at 86.2% and females at 77.4%. The sector distribution shows 81.3% of employed persons in services, 16.5% in manufacturing, and 2.2% in agriculture. Part-time employment accounted for 8.6% of total employment.
Unemployment among persons aged 15–24 was 14.7%, with a higher rate for females at 14.7%. The duration of unemployment varied, with 66.6% searching for less than six months.
