The Price Index of Construction Materials for July 2026 reached 123.00 units (base year 2021=100), recording an increase of 0.23% compared to the previous month, June 2026.
Compared to July 2025, the index increased by 3.33%. Main commodity categories with notable increases include metallic products (4.94%), products of wood, insulation materials, chemicals, and plastics (4.58%), electromechanical products (3.29%), minerals (2.51%), and mineral products (0.98%).
For the period January–July 2026, the index increased by 1.87% compared to the same period in 2025.
The index reflects the evolution of construction material costs incurred by contractors, based on monthly data collection from suppliers, excluding VAT. The index uses 2021 as the base year, with a value of 100, and is a weighted average based on import and local production values.
