The first quarter of 2026 shows a 0.7% increase in construction production and a 4.7% rise in output prices compared to the previous year.
The Index of Production in Construction for the first quarter of 2026 reached 120.74 units (base year 2021=100.00), representing a 0.7% increase over the first quarter of 2025.
The Output Prices Index in Construction for the same period reached 129.46 units, showing a 3.0% increase compared to the fourth quarter of 2025, and a 4.7% increase compared to the first quarter of 2025.
The indices are based on the base year 2021, with the production index reflecting changes in volume and the output prices index indicating changes in unit prices charged to clients.
The data are collected quarterly via telephone or email from a sample of construction enterprises, supplemented by administrative sources. The indices follow EU regulation (EU) 2019/2152 and are published unadjusted, with seasonally and working day adjusted versions also available.
