On July 20, the Cyprus Association for Quality participated in an EOQ webinar on adaptation to change, featuring expert speaker Ms. Alka Jarvis and a follow-up roundtable discussion on resilience and organizational culture.
On Monday, July 20th, members of the Cyprus Association for Quality (CyAQ) participated in a webinar organized by the European Organization for Quality (EOQ) on “Adaptation to Change”. The webinar featured Ms. Alka Jarvis, who has over 27 years of experience in quality management, authoring 11 books, and collaborating with organizations such as Google, Microsoft, Cisco, Facebook, and Johnson & Johnson.
The session emphasized the importance of adapting to change, continuous learning, effective communication, and systematic organizational responses in a dynamic environment.
Following the presentation, a roundtable discussion was held, moderated by Dr. Alekos Loizides, with participants Mr. Andreas Ioannidis and Mr. Akis Nikolaidis. The discussion focused on the role of quality, leadership, management systems, and organizational culture in enhancing resilience and adaptability amid ongoing challenges.
The Cyprus Quality Association expressed gratitude to the EOQ, Ms. Alka Jarvis, the moderator, participants, and all members attending either in person or online, contributing to the event’s success.
It is noted that quality does not prevent change but creates conditions for organizations to respond in a prepared, resilient, and organized manner.
