He highlighted that this event marks an important milestone in a long-standing partnership, which is based on solidarity, mutual trust, and a shared vision for a fair, cohesive, and sustainable Europe. The EEA and Norway Grants are seen as a tangible expression of European solidarity and shared responsibility.

The cooperation has contributed to various sectors in Cyprus, including environmental protection, renewable energy, social inclusion, and support for vulnerable groups. The Minister emphasized the partnership model based on dialogue, expertise exchange, and mutual learning, which strengthens institutions, professionals, and communities. He expressed appreciation to the Governments of Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein, and the Financial Mechanism Office, for their ongoing support and commitment.

He concluded by stressing the importance of ensuring that projects under these MoUs deliver long-term, meaningful impacts that support a greener economy, inclusive communities, and societal resilience. The Minister reaffirmed Cyprus’s commitment to transforming shared values into concrete results for Cyprus, the Donor States, and Europe as a whole.
