Cyprus treasury announces launch of new eProcurement system on February 3, 2026

The Treasury of the Republic of Cyprus has announced that the new eProcurement System will officially go live on February 3, 2026. This marks a significant step in the ongoing reform of public procurement in Cyprus.

The system has been delivered within the planned timeframe, budget, and quality standards, representing an important milestone in modernizing public procurement. It maintains and enhances the integrity and reliability of the existing system, which has successfully transitioned public procurement into the digital era.

The new system introduces a modern, integrated, and efficient digital environment covering the entire procurement cycle—from planning and procurement to contract management. Key functionalities include:

• Contract Management: Supports monitoring and managing contracts throughout their lifecycle, including milestones, payments, SLAs, and KPIs, with tools for managing multiple contracts and suppliers, document management, performance monitoring, reporting, and alerts.
• eAttestations: Enables suppliers to manage their information and submit certificates and declarations, providing authorities with better visibility of supplier profiles.
• Annual Procurement Plan: Allows authorities to plan and publish upcoming procurements, improving transparency and early market engagement.
• Messaging Functionality: Enhances communication with integrated notifications, supporting clarification exchanges before and after tender submissions, with authority control over responses.
• Business Intelligence and Reporting Tool: Provides advanced data analysis, interactive dashboards, visualizations, and automatic data updates for transparency and decision-making.

Existing functionalities are also enhanced, including:

• e-Catalogues: Upgraded for easier creation, management, and ordering of electronic catalogs.
• Enhanced Search Capabilities: Improved search speed and ease of use for competitions and information retrieval.
• User-Friendly Interface: Modern design focused on simplicity and quick access to core features.

The new system offers a faster, more user-friendly experience, developed with input from stakeholders to meet operational needs. To ensure a smooth transition, the system will be unavailable from January 30, 2026, at 15:00 until the launch date. Support materials such as user guides and videos will be provided progressively.
