Cyprus and Vietnam signed a double taxation and fiscal evasion prevention agreement on December 15, 2025, to enhance economic ties and ensure fair tax treatment between the countries.
The Agreement for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with Respect to Taxes on Income between the Republic of Cyprus and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam was signed on December 15, 2025, in Lefkosia.
The agreement was signed by Mr. Makis Keravnos, Minister of Finance of Cyprus, and Mr. Cao Anh Tuan, Deputy Minister of Finance of Vietnam.
This agreement aims to promote trade and economic relations, ensure fair treatment, and prevent tax evasion or avoidance. It provides for the exchange of tax information and mutual administrative procedures for resolving tax disputes.
The signing of this agreement is part of Cyprus’s efforts to expand its network of double taxation treaties and strengthen its position as an international business center.
