Quarterly national accounts data at current prices for 2025 have been updated due to changes in Government Finance Statistics (GFS) and Balance of Payments Statistics (BOP). The data revisions include the incorporation of the balanced Supply and Use Tables 2022.

The GDP growth rate in real terms (seasonally adjusted) for the fourth quarter of 2025 remains positive at 4.5% compared to the same quarter of 2024.

Regarding the production approach for GDP estimation, the positive growth is mainly attributed to sectors such as wholesale and retail trade, information and communication, hotels and restaurants, and construction.

Table 1 presents the GDP in real terms by economic activity, with a total GDP of €7,795.3 million in Q4 2025, representing a 4.5% increase over Q4 2024.

Table 2 shows the expenditure approach, with final consumption expenditure at €5,865.5 million, a slight decrease of 0.1%, and exports of €7,980.8 million, decreasing by 1.5% compared to the previous quarter.

The data compilation follows the European System of Accounts (ESA 2010) and uses short-term indicators, administrative data, employment figures, and price indices. The estimates are produced in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 549/2013.
