The European Banking Authority (EBA) announced the launch of its Pillar 3 data hub, marking the first time prudential information from all European Economic Area (EEA) institutions is publicly accessible via a single, harmonised digital platform.

The hub displays data submitted by large and other institutions since January 26, 2025, improving the availability, usability, and comparability of prudential information across the EU. It aims to boost transparency, support market discipline, and strengthen the resilience of the European financial system.

With the initial institutions onboarded, Pillar 3 reports can now be submitted to the platform for publication. Users can access official data through an intuitive visualization tool for easy comparison across institutions and reference dates. Bulk data downloads are also available for analysis. The full dataset for June, September, and December 2025 reference dates is expected to be available by June 2026.

The launch follows a successful testing phase with selected institutions. From June 2025, institutions are expected to submit reports already published on their websites for 2025 reference dates, in line with transitional arrangements under the final draft ITS. This period allows institutions to familiarize themselves with the platform before full implementation, ending with the December 2025 report submissions.

A comprehensive user guide covering all features of the data hub was published on January 23, 2026.

The development of the data hub is mandated by the new Banking Package (CRR3/CRD6), implementing Basel III reforms in the EU. The EBA’s implementation plan for these mandates is available on the data hub webpage. The EBA also plans to introduce a dynamic dashboard of key indicators, evolving over time based on industry feedback and emerging needs.
