She highlighted the valuable contributions he made to the ECB Governing Council, noting his realism, European convictions, and team-oriented approach.
He will now serve as President of the Fondation des Apprentis d’Auteuil, focusing on supporting vulnerable young people and families through educational, social, and professional training programs.
Lagarde concluded by wishing him success in his new role and reaffirmed that he remains a friend of the ECB.
