Cyprus’s foreign trade data for March 2026 is provisional, showing increases in imports and exports compared to previous periods. Final data for February 2026 indicates growth in imports but a decline in exports.
In March 2026, provisional data shows total imports of goods at €1,210.7 million, an 11.6% increase from March 2025 (€1,084.8 million). Imports from EU countries were €710.0 million and from third countries €500.7 million. Imports include vessel and aircraft ownership transfers valued at €20.3 million.
Total exports in March 2026 were €506.9 million, up 6.7% from March 2025 (€475.0 million). Exports to EU countries were €117.7 million and to third countries €389.2 million. Exports include vessel ownership transfers valued at €41.2 million.
From January to March 2026, total imports reached €3,323.8 million, a 1.0% increase from the same period in 2025 (€3,292.3 million). Total exports decreased by 9.8% to €1,276.6 million from €1,415.0 million. The trade deficit was €2,047.2 million, compared to €1,877.3 million in the first quarter of 2025.
Final data for February 2026 shows total imports at €1,120.5 million, a 6.1% increase from February 2025 (€1,056.4 million). Exports of domestically produced goods, including ships and aircraft provisions, were €153.3 million, down 52.4% from €322.2 million in February 2025. Domestic exports of industrial products decreased from €311.7 million to €143.2 million, and agricultural exports remained nearly stable at €9.3 million.
Main export categories for January–February 2026 (excluding ships and aircraft provisions) included mineral fuels and oils (€193.0 million), pharmaceutical products (€62.8 million), and halloumi cheese (€52.4 million).
