Foreign trade statistics for March and April 2026

Cyprus’s foreign trade data for March and April 2026 show increases in imports and mixed changes in exports, with detailed figures on trade values, categories, and partner countries.

In April 2026, provisional data indicate total imports of goods amounted to €1,370.7 million, a 15.1% increase from €1,190.7 million in April 2025. Imports from EU countries were €645.3 million, and from third countries €725.4 million. Imports include vessel ownership transfers valued at €240.4 million.

Total exports in April 2026 were €363.6 million, a 7.6% decrease from €393.6 million in April 2025. Exports to EU countries were €119.6 million, and to third countries €244.0 million. Exports include vessel ownership transfers valued at €33.8 million.

From January to April 2026, total imports reached €4,697.0 million, a 4.8% increase compared to €4,483.1 million in the same period of 2025. Total exports were €1,639.9 million, a 9.3% decrease from €1,808.5 million, resulting in a trade deficit of €3,057.1 million.

Final data for March 2026 show total imports of €1,211.1 million, an 11.6% increase from €1,084.8 million in March 2025. Domestic exports of products, including ships and aircraft provisions, were €368.2 million, up 29.3%. Exports of industrial and agricultural products increased, while exports of foreign products decreased by 27.5%. Major export categories included mineral fuels and oils (€424.7 million), pharmaceutical products (€94.8 million), and halloumi cheese (€91.7 million).
