The GDP growth rate in real terms for the second quarter of 2026 is estimated at 3.3%, seasonally adjusted, compared to the same quarter of 2025. The estimate is based on preliminary data and short-term indicators.
The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth rate in real terms, seasonally adjusted, during the second quarter of 2026 is estimated at 3.3% compared to the same quarter of 2025.
The positive growth is mainly attributed to sectors such as wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles, information and communication, financial and insurance activities, and construction.
According to the preliminary data, the GDP increased by 0.83% compared to the previous quarter, and by 3.3% compared to the same quarter of the previous year.
The GDP flash estimate provides an early picture of the economy’s development, based on data available 45 days after the quarter’s end, using a methodology aligned with European standards (ESA 2010). It incorporates short-term indicators, administrative data, employment figures, and price indices.
