From March 2026 to April 2026, the categories with the largest increases are Transport (9.6%) and Clothing and Footwear (5.3%).
The energy category showed the largest change among economic categories, with an increase of 8.5% compared to April 2025 and 7.5% compared to March 2026.
The HICP is calculated based on a harmonised methodology across the EU, with data collected monthly from urban districts in Lefkosia, Lemesos, Larnaka, and Pafos. The weights are based on consumption expenditure data, with the base year set to 2025=100 from January 2026 onwards.
