The industrial output prices index for April 2026 increased by 0.3% from March but decreased by 0.2% compared to April 2025. All sectors showed varied changes, with some sectors recording increases and others decreases.
The Index of Industrial Output Prices for April 2026 reached 121.7 units (base 2021=100), recording an increase of 0.3% compared to March 2026. Compared to April 2025, the index decreased by 0.2%. For the period January–April 2026, the index remained unchanged compared to the same period in 2025.
In April 2026, compared to March 2026, all sectors showed increases: water supply and materials recovery by 1.9%, electricity supply by 0.6%, manufacturing by 0.2%, and mining and quarrying by 0.1%. Compared to April 2025, increases were recorded in water supply and materials recovery (6.3%), mining and quarrying (1.6%), and manufacturing (1.0%), while electricity supply decreased by 6.8%.
In manufacturing, specific sectors showed varied changes. The manufacture of furniture, other manufacturing, and repair and installation of machinery increased by 5.7%. The manufacture of electronic and optical products and electrical equipment increased by 4.9%. The manufacture of wood and products of wood and cork, except furniture, increased by 2.7%. The manufacture of machinery, motor vehicles, and other transport equipment increased by 1.5%. The manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products increased by 1.1%. A decrease was recorded in the manufacture of paper and paper products and printing (-0.2%). No change was observed in the manufacture of food products, beverages, and tobacco products.
Data collection for mining, quarrying, manufacturing, and materials recovery is conducted via telephone and email, while data for electricity and water supply is obtained from administrative sources. The index uses 2021 as the base year, with the overall index reflecting monthly price changes relative to 2021 averages.
