The industrial production index reached 117.6 units in June 2026, up 0.3% from June 2025, with a 1.2% increase for January–June 2026 compared to the previous year.
In June 2026, the Industrial Production Index reached 117.6 units (base 2021=100), recording an increase of 0.3% compared to June 2025.
For the period January–June 2026, the index increased by 1.2% compared to the same period of the previous year.
The manufacturing sector registered an increase of 0.6% compared to June 2025. An increase was also observed in mining and quarrying (+11.4%) and water supply and materials recovery (+1.5%). A decrease was observed in the electricity supply sector (-4.0%).
Within manufacturing, the most significant positive changes compared to June 2025 were in the manufacturing of other non-metallic mineral products (+7.5%) and rubber and plastic products (+4.7%). The largest negative changes were in machinery and equipment, motor vehicles, and other transport equipment (-8.5%), electronic and optical products and electrical equipment (-2.4%), and furniture and machinery repair and installation (-2.3%).
For January–June 2026, the most significant positive changes compared to the previous year were in water collection, treatment, and supply (+11.5%), basic metals and fabricated metal products (+5.1%), electricity supply (+4.3%), other non-metallic mineral products (+3.4%), and wood products (+3.2%). The most significant negative changes were in materials recovery (-8.8%), machinery and transport equipment (-5.9%), and furniture and machinery repair (-4.2%).
Data collection is conducted by the Statistical Service via telephone or email, covering sectors in accordance with NACE Rev. 2 classification. The index is compiled using 2021 as the base year, with weights based on the value added of each subsector.
