Limassol Mayor and Paphos OEB Committee discuss urban development and cooperation

The Limassol-Paphos OEB Committee met with Limassol Mayor Yiannis Armeftis to discuss urban planning, private sector involvement, and strengthening collaboration between the Municipality and business community.

A meeting was held between the Limassol-Paphos OEB Committee, chaired by Mr. Christos Michaelides, and the Mayor of Limassol, Mr. Yiannis Armeftis. The purpose was to strengthen dialogue and cooperation between the Municipality and the local business community.

During the meeting, Mr. Armeftis presented the Municipality’s strategic plan for 2025-2035, focusing on sustainable urban development, improving citizens’ quality of life, and enhancing Limassol’s competitiveness as a business and investment hub. The Mayor emphasized the importance of private sector investments and the need to foster synergies between public and private sectors to create a stable, business-friendly environment.

He also mentioned that specialized committees, including the Development Committee and Climate Change Committee, have been established to coordinate actions. The participation of OEB representatives in these committees is encouraged to leverage the contribution of the organized business community.

Representatives of OEB, including the President and the Chairman of the Limassol-Paphos Committee, expressed gratitude for the meeting and confirmed their intention to participate actively in the committees. They highlighted the importance of institutionalized and regular communication between the Municipality and OEB.

The meeting concluded in a positive atmosphere, with a shared commitment to further cooperation for mutual benefit.
