Monthly economic developments for January–December 2025

The Statistical Service published the bimonthly bulletin for January–December 2025, covering key economic indicators and comparative data for the last four years.

The Statistical Service announced the publication of the bimonthly bulletin Monthly Economic Developments for the period January–December 2025. The bulletin includes the most recent economic developments in Cyprus up to December 2025, along with comparative data for the last four years, available until February 16, 2026.

The Trend component shows the long-term evolution of economic series, influenced by factors such as population growth, technological development, and overall economic progress.

Manufacturing production during January–November 2025 increased by 4.4% compared to the same period in 2024.

The total area of building permits authorized reached 2,612,000 square metres during January–October 2025, a 30.7% increase compared to the same period in 2024.

Total motor vehicle registrations rose by 5.8%, reaching 52,508 units in January–December 2025. Private saloon cars increased by 3.2% to 35,367 units, and light goods vehicles increased by 6.9% to 4,959 units compared to the previous year.

The Consumer Price Index increased by 0.1% during January–December 2025 compared to the same period in the previous year.

Total imports of goods amounted to €13,551.8 million, a 7.7% increase, while exports reached €5,550.4 million, up 7.0%.

Tourist arrivals totaled 4,534,073 in January–December 2025, a 12.2% increase from 4,040,200 in the same period of 2024.
