The Statistical Service published the February 2026 bi-monthly bulletin covering key economic indicators, including manufacturing, building permits, vehicle registrations, inflation, trade, and tourism data for Cyprus.
The Statistical Service announced the publication of the bi-monthly bulletin Monthly Economic Developments for January–February 2026. The bulletin provides key economic data for Cyprus, including comparisons with the last four years, available until April 16, 2026.
The Trend component illustrates the long-term evolution of economic series, influenced by factors such as population growth, technological progress, and overall economic development.
Manufacturing production in January 2026 increased by 1.5% compared to January 2025.
The total area of building permits authorized during January–December 2025 reached 3,274.2 thousand square meters, a 41.0% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
Motor vehicle registrations rose by 15.1%, totaling 9,020 units in January–February 2026. Private saloon cars increased by 16.2% to 6,381 units, and light goods vehicles increased by 18.7% to 919 units compared to the same period in 2025.
The Consumer Price Index increased by 0.3% during January–February 2026 compared to the same period in the previous year.
Total imports of goods amounted to €2,108.0 million, a decrease of 4.5%, while exports totaled €766.2 million, decreasing by 18.5% during the same period.
Tourist arrivals reached 268,141 in January–February 2026, up 9.1% from 245,860 in the same period of 2025.
