The Federation of Employers and Industrialists (OEB) announces that the Department of Labour Inspection (TEE), responsible for occupational safety and health, has developed a new digital tool called Online interactive Risk Assessment (OiRA) in collaboration with the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA).

The tool was created based on feedback from businesses and findings from the “Study on the Needs of Businesses on Occupational Safety & Health Issues” conducted by OEB during the “Pillars of Development” Project, funded under the Cohesion Policy Program “THALIA 2021-2027” with EU co-financing.

Businesses can use OiRA free of charge to identify risks associated with teleworking and implement measures to ensure employee safety and health.

OEB recommends integrating the digital tool into the safety and health management systems of businesses and organizations. This supports the objectives of the Cyprus Strategy for Safety and Health at Work 2021-2027 and the EU Strategic Framework for Safety and Health at Work 2021-2027.

The collaboration between OEB, TEE, and EU-OSHA demonstrates that social dialogue, consultation, and cooperation can lead to the development of initiatives and tools aimed at improving occupational safety and health standards.
