The Department of Environment emphasizes the need for proper management of construction and demolition waste by project owners and contractors, in accordance with 2023 regulations, to secure the Certificate of Compatibility.
The Federation of Employers and Industrialists (OEB) informs its members that the Department of Environment of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment invites all interested parties to apply the provisions of the Waste (Management of Waste from Construction and Demolition) Regulations of 2023 (K.D.P. 112/2023) when announcing tenders and/or executing projects related to technical or building projects.
The implementation of these regulations, especially the certification of proper management of construction and demolition waste (AKK), in accordance with the AKK management plan and the relevant form (KAA 253/2023), is essential for obtaining the Certificate of Compatibility from the Department of Environment.
If stakeholders fail to ensure proper management of the waste, it will result in the non-issuance of the Certificate of Compatibility and potential loss of significant funds. Non-compliance with the regulations is considered an offense.
The letter from the Department of Environment and the AKK Management Agreement are attached for reference.
