The OEB Education, Training and Talent Attraction Committee, chaired by Mr. Yiangos Hatzigiannis, met with the Minister of Labor and Social Insurance on June 2, 2026, to discuss labor market challenges and policies.
The Education, Training and Talent Attraction Committee of OEB, chaired by Mr. Yiangos Hatzigiannis, held a meeting with the Minister of Labor and Social Insurance on June 2, 2026. The meeting took place in the context of ongoing contacts with relevant bodies on issues related to the labor market, skills development, and strengthening the competitiveness of Cyprus’s human resources.
During the meeting, the participants exchanged views on the challenges faced by businesses in recruiting and retaining suitable human resources, as well as on prospects for increasing employment and productivity in the Cypriot economy.
The meeting confirmed a mutual intention to strengthen cooperation between the Ministry and the Committee. The goal is to promote policies and actions that address labor market challenges and support the development of the country’s human resources.
OEB continues to promote dialogue and cooperation with relevant bodies to develop modern policies that enhance employment, skills, and competitiveness of the Cypriot economy.
