Compared to April 2025, the index increased by 1.38%. Main commodity categories with notable increases include electromechanical products (2.29%), metallic products (1.81%), products of wood, insulation materials, chemicals and plastics (1.76%), minerals (1.59%), and mineral products (0.06%).
For the period January–April 2026, the index increased by 1.00% compared to the same period in 2025.
The index reflects the evolution of construction material costs incurred by contractors, based on monthly data collection from suppliers and products, excluding VAT. The indices are weighted averages based on import and local production values from 2021.
