The price index of construction materials for March 2026 reached 119.91 units, with an annual increase of 0.93%. The index rose by 0.52% from the previous month.
The Price Index of Construction Materials for March 2026 is 119.91 units (base year 2021=100), recording an increase of 0.52% compared to February 2026.
Compared to March 2025, the index increased by 0.93%. For the period January-March 2026, the index increased by 0.87% compared to the same period in 2025.
Major commodity category increases include electromechanical products (2.44%), wood, insulation materials, chemicals, and plastics (1.44%), minerals (1.40%), metallic products (0.46%), and mineral products (0.04%).

Data collection is based on monthly prices of construction materials, excluding VAT, gathered via telephone or email, with reference dates on the 15th of each month.
The indices are based on 2021 as the base year, with weights reflecting each material’s share of total construction expenditure, derived from import and local production values.
This index is part of the Construction Costs Index, published by the Statistical Office of the European Union (Eurostat), covering new residential buildings, excluding community residences.
