In April 2026, the number of registered unemployed persons in Cyprus reached 8,962. Based on seasonally adjusted data, which reflects the trend of unemployment, the number increased to 10,585, compared to 10,316 in March 2026.
Compared to April 2025, there was an increase of 844 persons, or 10.4%. The main sectors contributing to this increase are accommodation and food service activities, administrative and support service activities, transportation, and professional, scientific, and technical activities.
