The number of registered unemployed persons at the end of June 2026 was 10,056. Seasonally adjusted data indicates an increase to 10,656 from 10,543 in May 2026, and a rise of 903 persons (9.9%) compared to June 2025.

The increase is mainly attributed to sectors including accommodation and food service activities, public administration, education, and human health and social work activities.

Table 1 presents actual and seasonally adjusted unemployment data for 2026 and previous years. Table 2 shows unemployment by economic activity based on the NACE Rev. 2 classification for June 2025, May 2026, and June 2026.

Registered unemployed are persons aged 15 and over who actively seek employment and register at District and Local Labour Offices. The data excludes self-employed persons, part-time job seekers, and those seeking employment in specific areas or employers.

Seasonal adjustment removes seasonal effects to reveal underlying trends, using Eurostat’s JDemetra+ software. The methodology was revised in March 2020, and registration procedures changed from June 15, 2021, affecting data comparability.
