The Turnover Index of Retail Trade, excluding motor vehicles, for October 2025 shows an increase of 7.6% in value and 10.1% in volume compared to October 2024.
The index uses 2021 as the base year, with a value of 100.0. The value index for October 2025 is 144.6, and the volume index is 126.9.
The data covers activities classified under division 47 of the EU’s NACE Rev. 2, representing retail trade excluding motor vehicles.
Data is collected monthly via telephone or email and compiled according to EU regulation (EU) 2019/2152. The index is transmitted monthly to Eurostat and published in gross form at the national level.
