The Association of Telecommunications Companies (Setil) warns that prepaid mobile cards not identified by November 10, 2025, may be deactivated, urging users and organizations to complete the process.
The Association of Telecommunications Companies (Setil), a member of OEB, has announced that the deadline for the identification of prepaid mobile telephony cards is November 10, 2025. Despite increased efforts in recent weeks, many cards remain unidentified, risking deactivation after the deadline.
Setil urges all prepaid card users to proceed immediately with the identification process to avoid service interruption and other inconveniences. Businesses and organizations using prepaid cards for operational purposes are also advised to verify their connection status and complete identification before the deadline.
The identification process involves mobile telephony providers (Cyta, Epic, Cablenet, and Primetel) and requires registration of basic information such as name, ID or passport number, and telephone number. It can be completed either by visiting provider stores and authorized partners or electronically via applications or websites. Completing the process in a timely manner ensures uninterrupted service.
