Special employment support scheme in the hotel sector

The Council of Ministers approved a support scheme for hotel sector employment, applicable to active hotels during April 2026, to mitigate economic impacts from recent geopolitical developments.

Following the President of the Republic’s announcements on economic support measures due to geopolitical developments in the Middle East, the Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB) informs affected members about the new support scheme.

The Council of Ministers, by decision dated 26 March 2026, approved the implementation of the Special Employment Support Plan in the Hotel Sector.

Any hotel or tourist accommodation business that was operational during 2025 and remains active from April 1 to April 30, 2026 can participate in the scheme.

Businesses that only operate cafes, restaurants, or other activities beyond accommodation are excluded. Businesses that only perform maintenance or repair work, not considered part of the usual scope of hotel or tourist accommodation activities, are also deemed inactive.
