Tourism revenue in Cyprus dropped 33.8% in March 2026 to €85.6 million compared to the previous year. For January–March 2026, revenue decreased by 11.8% to €245.5 million.
According to the Passengers Survey conducted by the Statistical Service, revenue from tourism in Cyprus reached €85.6 million in March 2026, representing a decrease of 33.8% compared to March 2025 (€129.4 million).
For the period of January–March 2026, total tourism revenue is estimated at €245.5 million, down 11.8% from €278.3 million in the same period of 2025.
Average expenditure per person in March 2026 was €615.27, a 4.6% decrease from €644.65 in March 2025. Tourists from the United Kingdom, the largest market with 32.9% of visitors, spent an average of €69.01 per day. Tourists from Poland, the second largest market with 12.6%, spent €81.99 daily, while tourists from Germany, with 10.8%, spent €77.88 per day.
Detailed statistics on tourist expenditure per person and per day by country are available in the official report. The data is collected through personal interviews at Larnaka and Pafos airports and covers all travelers in the government-controlled areas of Cyprus.
