Tourism revenue in April 2026 was €197.5 million, down 35.1% from April 2025. For January–April 2026, revenue declined by 23.9% compared to the previous year.
According to the Passengers Survey conducted by the Statistical Service, revenue from tourism in April 2026 reached €197.5 million, representing a decrease of 35.1% compared to €304.2 million in April 2025.
For the period of January–April 2026, tourism revenue is estimated at €443.0 million, down 23.9% from €582.5 million in the same period of 2025.
Average expenditure per person in April 2026 was €651.77, a decrease of 10.3% compared to €726.42 in April 2025.
Tourists from the United Kingdom, the largest market with 39.2% of tourists in April 2026, spent an average of €86.43 per day. Tourists from Poland, the second largest market with 8.4%, spent €81.89 per day, and tourists from Germany, with 8.0%, spent €85.99 per day.
Detailed statistics on tourist expenditure per person and per day by country are available in the official report. Data is collected via personal interviews at Larnaka and Pafos airports and covers all travelers in the government-controlled area of Cyprus.
