Tourism revenue in Cyprus reached €355.2 million in May 2026, down 4.8% from the previous year. For January–May 2026, revenue declined by 16.5% compared to the same period in 2025.
According to the Passengers Survey conducted by the Statistical Service, tourism revenue in Cyprus amounted to €355.2 million in May 2026, representing a decrease of 4.8% compared to €373.3 million in May 2025.
For the period of January–May 2026, total revenue from tourism is estimated at €798.2 million, down 16.5% from €955.8 million in the same period of 2025.
In May 2026, the average expenditure per person was €779.42, remaining stable compared to €779.08 in May 2025.
Tourists from the United Kingdom, the largest market with 36.3% of visitors, spent an average of €102.23 per day. Tourists from Israel, the second largest market with 11.8%, spent €178.18 per day. Tourists from Poland, the third largest market with 8.2%, spent €85.41 per day.

Data is collected through personal interviews at Larnaka and Pafos airports and covers all travelers arriving in the government-controlled areas of Cyprus.
