Tourism revenue in Cyprus reached €74.6 million in January 2026, up 7.8% from the previous year. Average expenditure per person decreased slightly to €613.26. Key markets include Poland, Israel, and the UK.
According to the Passengers Survey conducted by the Statistical Service, revenue from tourism in Cyprus reached €74.6 million in January 2026, representing an increase of 7.8% compared to €69.2 million in January 2025.
The average expenditure per person was €613.26 in January 2026, a decrease of 0.7% from €617.65 in January 2025.
Tourists from Poland, the largest market with 18.6% of total tourists, spent an average of €72.81 per day. Tourists from Israel, the second largest market with 18.1%, spent an average of €157.31 per day. Tourists from the United Kingdom, the third largest market with 15.8%, spent an average of €70.99 per day.
Data on tourist expenditure by country of residence is available in the official statistics. The data is collected through personal interviews at Larnaka and Pafos airports and covers all travelers in the government-controlled area of Cyprus.
