Tourism revenue increased by 11.3% in December 2025

Tourism revenue reached €96.7 million in December 2025, up 11.3% from the previous year. For 2025, total revenue is estimated at €3.696 billion, a 15.2% increase compared to 2024.

According to the Passengers Survey conducted by the Statistical Service, revenue from tourism in December 2025 amounted to €96.7 million, representing an increase of 11.3% compared to December 2024 (€86.9 million).

For the period of January–December 2025, tourism revenue is estimated at €3.696 billion, up 15.2% from €3.209 billion in the same period of 2024.

In December 2025, the average expenditure per person was €616.29, a decrease of 5.7% compared to €653.27 in December 2024.

Tourists from Israel, the largest market with 19.1% of tourists in December 2025, spent an average of €145.03 per day. Tourists from the United Kingdom, the second largest market with 19.0%, spent €65.39 per day. Tourists from Poland, the third largest market with 11.3%, spent €85.69 per day.

Detailed statistics on tourist expenditure per person and per day by country are available in the official reports. Data is collected through personal interviews at Larnaka and Pafos airports and covers all travelers in the government-controlled area of Cyprus.
