In July 2026, tourist arrivals in Cyprus reached 582,754, compared to 589,116 in July 2025, representing a decrease of 1.1%. For the period of January–July 2026, total arrivals were 2,238,769, down 8.0% from the same period in 2025.
The main source countries for July 2026 were the United Kingdom with 31.9% (185,981 arrivals), Israel with 20.5% (119,293), Poland with 6.3% (36,912), Germany with 3.7% (21,338), and Sweden with 3.4% (19,899).
In July 2026, 85.2% of tourists traveled for holidays, 11.7% visited friends and relatives, and 3.0% traveled for business. In July 2025, the respective percentages were 85.5%, 11.6%, and 2.8%.
Resident returns from abroad in July 2026 totaled 210,047, an increase of 12.3% from 186,987 in July 2025. The main countries of return were Greece (38.5%), the United Kingdom (7.1%), Italy (6.0%), Poland (3.5%), and Germany (3.5%).
The primary purpose of travel for residents was holidays (75.2%), followed by business (13.7%), studies (10.3%), and other reasons (0.7%).
Data are collected from passenger surveys at Larnaka and Pafos airports, as well as from port arrivals, covering all legal entries in the government-controlled areas of Cyprus. The data excludes illegal arrivals and departures.
