In June 2026, the number of tourist arrivals in Cyprus reached 489,965, representing a 1.7% decrease compared to 498,527 in June 2025. For the period of January to June 2026, arrivals totaled 1,656,015, down 10.1% from the same period in 2025.
The main source countries for June 2026 were the United Kingdom with 33.0% (161,913 arrivals), followed by Israel with 16.4%, Poland with 7.3%, Sweden with 5.5%, and Germany with 4.4%. The majority of tourists traveled for holidays (81.6%), with smaller proportions visiting friends and relatives (11.3%) and for business (7.0%).
Resident returns from abroad increased by 7.4%, totaling 168,953 in June 2026. The main countries of return were Greece (35.3%), the United Kingdom (8.3%), Italy (6.3%), and Poland (3.5%). The primary purpose of travel for residents was holidays (68.1%), followed by business (21.7%), studies (8.9%), and other reasons (1.3%).
Data is collected from the Passengers Survey at Larnaka and Pafos airports and includes all travelers passing through passport control in the government-controlled areas of Cyprus.
