The turnover value index for services and transport sectors in Cyprus increased in the third quarter of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024, with notable growth in accommodation, support services, and communication sectors.
The Turnover Value Index for the third quarter of 2025 shows increases in several sectors compared to the same quarter of 2024. The sectors with notable growth include administrative and support service activities (8.8%), accommodation and food service activities (7.7%), professional, scientific and technical activities (7.4%), transport and storage activities (3.6%), real estate activities (3.0%), and information and communication activities (2.9%).
From January to September 2025, increases were observed in the turnover indices of accommodation and food service activities (9.6%), administrative and support service activities (8.6%), information and communication activities (5.1%), professional, scientific and technical activities (4.7%), and transport and storage activities (3.0%). A decrease was recorded in real estate activities (-1.0%).
The data is based on the 2021 as the base year, with quarterly changes calculated relative to the average quarterly turnover of 2021. The indices are produced using data collected monthly through surveys from enterprises in the relevant sectors. The indices are transmitted to Eurostat and published in both gross and seasonally adjusted forms, with detailed methodological information available on the CYSTAT portal.
