The turnover value index for wholesale trade increased by 11.2%, while the index for sales and repair of motor vehicles decreased by 3.6% in the first quarter of 2026 compared to the same period in 2025.
The Turnover Value Index for Wholesale Trade (Division 46) during the first quarter of 2026 recorded an increase of 11.2% compared to the same quarter of the previous year.
For the same period, the Turnover Value Index for Sales and Repair of Motor Vehicles (Division 45) decreased by 3.6% compared to the previous year.
Table 1 shows the index changes for various motor vehicle activities, with overall motor vehicle trade and repair decreasing by 3.6%.
Table 2 details the wholesale trade activities, with an overall decrease of 18.4% in wholesale on a fee or contract basis and a 12.1% increase in wholesale of other machinery, equipment, and supplies.
The indices are based on data collected monthly via telephone or email, with a base year of 2021 (index = 100). The indices are calculated at current prices and reflect quarterly changes in turnover.
