The turnover value index for wholesale trade increased by 9.3% in Q4 2025 compared to the previous year, while the index for motor vehicle sales and repair remained stable. For 2025, wholesale trade rose by 5.9%, and motor vehicle services by 3.0%.
The Turnover Value Index for Wholesale Trade (Division 46) during the fourth quarter of 2025 increased by 9.3% compared to the same quarter of the previous year.
For the same period, the Turnover Value Index for Sales and Repair of Motor Vehicles (Division 45) remained stable compared to the previous year.
For the period January–December 2025, the index for wholesale trade is estimated to have increased by 5.9%, and for motor vehicle sales and repair by 3.0% compared to 2024.
Tables 1 and 2 provide detailed indices and percentage changes for various activities within these divisions, based on data collected through monthly surveys by the Statistical Service.
The indices use 2021 as the base year (index=100) and are calculated at current prices. They reflect short-term developments in turnover, excluding VAT but including other duties and taxes.
Data collection begins five days after the end of each reference period and is completed within forty-five days. The indices are transmitted to Eurostat and published at the national level in gross form.
