Equity

The value of ownership interest in a company.

Equity in Cyprus represents the amount of money that would be returned to a company’s shareholders if all the assets were liquidated and all its debts paid off. It is calculated as the difference between total assets and total liabilities. Equity is important as it indicates the residual interest in the assets of the entity after deducting liabilities and serves as an indicator of a company’s health and financial stability.
