Retained Earnings

The portion of net income that is retained by the company rather than distributed to its shareholders as dividends.

Retained earnings in Cyprus represent the cumulative amount of net income earned by a company that has been retained (not distributed to shareholders as dividends) over time. These earnings can be used for reinvesting in the company, paying off debt, or other purposes. Retained earnings are reported in the shareholders’ equity section of the balance sheet and are a critical indicator of a company’s capacity to grow and generate shareholder value.
