The Tax Department announces that a tool for searching and verifying employees’ Tax Identification Numbers (TIN) has been made available on the TaxPortal.
Through this tool, employers can confirm whether an employee is registered in the Tax Department’s Registry by entering the individual’s ID card number or Alien Registration Certificate (ARC) number along with their date of birth.
Please note that access to this tool is granted exclusively to employers who have either:
- Submitted at least one Employer’s Return (Form Τ.Φ.7), or
- Made at least one payment of withheld tax (Code 0100) for the period starting from January 1, 2021, onwards.
A relevant user guide has been published on the TAX FOR ALL website under the section titled “GUIDES,” which you may consult for further information.
